Louis Vuitton Luggage: The Height Of Innovative Designs And Skilled Artistry

Louis Vuitton Luggage is the end product of much nurturing of innovation in design as well as skilled artistry that culminates in products that are guaranteed to be of impeccable quality and high fashion. Employing gifted artists who dedicate their time and energy into crafting products made from exclusive material ensures that Louis Vuitton Luggage products symbolize state-of-the-art workmanship and the best in travelers' needs.

Beware Of Counterfeits

Such is the quality and reputation enjoyed by Louis Vuitton Luggage that it has found many counterfeiters who wish to capitalize on the name and use fraudulent means of passing off fakes hoping to lure customers into paying exorbitant amounts for their cheap imitations. However, the company has taken stringent steps to ensure that the authenticity of its product remains intact, even though just one percent of the items bearing its trademark monogram are authentic, and it is believed, that as many as eighteen percent of accessories captured by the European Union were fake Louis Vuittons.

The complete range of Louis Vuitton Luggage products is varied and includes the Keepali travel bag, the spacious Pegase suitcase and the large Kendall travel bag, to name but a few items. They all are a throwback to the early days when the name Louis Vuitton was synonymous with the manufacture of high quality luggage as well as travel and leather items.

The name Louis Vuitton certainly makes one imagine those glossy advertisements with supermodels draping their supple frames around a Louis Vuitton Luggage piece, or even evokes images of Hollywood celebrities and fashion events. This has much to do with the care taken by Louis Vuitton Luggage to choose only the premium leathers and perfecting the products to meet the greatest criteria that helps to distinguish them from the rest and places them on top of fashion luggage products currently available on the market.

There are a number of reasons why a person should choose a Louis Vuitton Luggage piece. Owning these items would give the owner a special style not found elsewhere, and even though the prices are exorbitant, they do embody class and sophistication that makes an impact that is hard to match.

Owning a vintage Louis Vuitton Luggage piece is like owning a part of fashion history as one will have laid one's hands on one hundred and fifty plus years of priceless craftsmanship and be the richer for it.

Making Sense Of New Airline Luggage Rules

With all the new airline luggage rules put in place in the past few years, sometimes it is difficult to know how to pack. Your flight or airline may put a cap on the weight of your checked baggage. Carry-on rules are tight, too, not only does the bag have to be small, but many routes now do not allow liquids in the carry-on. It pays to know how to pack before you get to the airport so you do not run into trouble just as you are trying to take off.

Checked Luggage

Airline luggage rules vary about the allowable weight of checked baggage. A large box containing a lampshade, for example, is usually more acceptable than a small bag full of rocks or seashells. It is all in the weight.

Also, most airlines allow each passenger to check a maximum of one, two, or three bags - though first class passengers may get a larger allowance. The weight of all your bags is added up; if you go over the limit, expect to pay a fee. In some cases, you may actually be told to take some things out of your bags and mail them home!

Most of the things that are forbidden by airline luggage rules are pretty clear: weapons, flammable substances, and live animals for example.

Carry-On Bags

The rules for carry-on bags have changed lately. All dangerous items banned from checked baggage are banned from carry-ons, too, but there are many additional things banned from the airplane cabin.

Anything the least bit pointy or sharp, like nail files, knives and even tweezers must not go in the carry-on, according to airline luggage rules. All these things are okay for checked bags, however.

It is now also illegal in many countries to carry liquids into an airplane cabin. And most people carry more liquids than they may think about: drinks, lotion, makeup or medicine, to name a few. Even duty-free shops are feeling the heat; buy cut-rate liquor in the departure terminal, and many planes will make you leave it there, too.

Following The Rules

The bottom line is to pack smart. Make sure to put all liquids and small metal things like scissors into the checked baggage. Keep the checked bags under about forty pounds. You can always call for your airline's luggage rules. Also, one of the reasons you always want to arrive early for your flight is so you have time to take care of any luggage issues that may come up. When in doubt, it is best to leave something at home rather than risk the trouble of breaking the luggage rules.

Leather Luggage - A Perfect Gift For Any Occasion

When you're looking for the right gift to give you boss, dad or other special person, you may consider the classic beauty and durability of leather luggage. One of the reasons why many people buy leather as gifts is because luggage made of leather can live longer compared to other types of luggage.

Unfortunately, leather luggage can be more expensive than other luggage made from different materials. It can also be heavier to carry and mostly used as carry-on luggage. The best thing about leather luggage is its first-class look that is both stylish and elegant.

For different luggage manufacturers, the most common type of leather used are Vacquetta and Quinley leather, which are both top-quality products. This is the reason why most leather luggage are high-priced and long lasting.

You can choose different types of leather luggage that could fit perfectly with the personality of the receiver. For instance, if your boss is a woman, you could buy leather totes, duffels or wheeled luggage to make it easier for her to carry.

Features Of A Leather Luggage

When looking for the perfect leather gift, you can add some useful features for the luggage. Just like other luggage, leather luggage can also contain several pockets or compartments that could accommodate various items in the luggage. While these types of luggage usually contain spacious main compartment, you can still give it a few expansion by option for zippered pockets to hold small items.

You can also choose the type of handle for the luggage, including leather-wrapped handles, adjustable shoulder straps and telescopic handles. According to experts, telescopic handles are ideal for traveling because it enables the carrier to wheel the luggage easily.

A great thing about leather luggage is you can personalize the bag by embossing or engraving images, texts and logos of your choice. With this option, you can now give your dad his long-awaited luggage with his initials on it or a great-looking tote for your mom with a family image.

Some leather bags have organizers to keep your clothes wrinkle-free; others have toiletry kits that carry all personal items in a hidden storage. You could also look for leather luggage that has storage area for small items like socks and t-shirts. Some luggage includes all these three extra organizers for maximum functionality.

For a long-lasting, elegant and sophisticated gift, leather luggage is worth every cent you will pay for. Because of its high-class design and proven durability, buying luggage made of leather is a gift for all occasions.

Secure Your Bag With A Luggage Lock

These days, security is the focus for airports when thousands of people are traveling through it each day. With the many changes in security rules, travelers have been under the impression that they can't lock their backs for fear of a TSA representative breaking that luggage lock and rendering it useless anyways-or worse, somehow damaging the bag in the process. Those who choose to go without a luggage lock fear for the contents of their bags, worried that they'll be stolen. However, there is a solution to the problem.

A New Lock

In its efforts to improve airport security while allowing passengers to continue to use airport locks, TSA-approved luggage locks have been developed. These locks come with a special logo on the side that all TSA baggage handlers are trained to identify. All of these locks, including combination locks, come with a hole for a special key that TSA employees have that can open it. This allows them to check your bag and lock it up again without damaging the lock or your luggage. Designs range from simple locks to ones that are part of a luggage strap.

Do They Work?

Like all luggage locks, the TSA locks do tend to look a little flimsy, but then again, it's hard to make a solid, strong lock when it needs to be small enough to go through the holes in your zipper pull. A lock will not stop a determined thief or a dishonest baggage handler, no matter how much you wish it would. However, having a luggage lock adds to the deterrence factor for thieves, since an unlocked bag is easier to get into than a locked one. But if someone does, there's even a TSA luggage lock that turns on a small light in it if it's been opened forcibly, so you know.

Keep The Cost Down

If you're worried about the cost of a TSA luggage lock, don't worry about it, since most cost about the same as a meal for one at a family restaurant. Don't spend too much on these locks, since there's always the chance of a mishap or something similar while at airport security. Still, you should purchase a TSA luggage lock since it will deter thieves, which will in turn protect your belongings. If you're careful and take advantage of the options the TSA has given you, all of your belongings and you will arrive to your destination safe and sound.

The Where, What, How and Why of luggage

What you Need to Know About Carry on Luggage

If you are not a frequent flyer or if you have just never heard of carry on luggage in general, then you should know that it is important that you do learn about it. Carry on luggage is the luggage that you actually take onboard the plane, rather than having it with all the rest of the luggage in the back of the plane. Typically you can only bring one bag as carry on luggage, and then the rest of your stuff needs to go with the rest of the passengers' luggage.

Things to Think About for Your Carry on Luggage

One of the most important things to think about is the fact that because you only get one bag as your carry on luggage, you are going to want to make sure that this is the bag that has everything that you would possibly need during the time of the flight. Depending on the length of the actual flight, it will thus vary as to what you should put in this bag, but it is easy enough to figure out.

For instance, if you are going on a rather long flight then you are going to want to include things in your carry on bag such as a toothbrush, mouthwash, games or activities to keep yourself busy, and so on. Many people also put their valuables into their carry on bags so that they can be sure of where they are and they also have less likelihood of getting broken or lost.

You are going to want to contact the particular airline that you are flying with before you decide on any carry on bag to purchase, because every airline is different and so you are going to have to check their rules and regulations so that you can find out what the exact measurements are that you are allowed for your carry on bag.

In order to do this you can either contact someone at the airport, or you can check their website online, and make sure that then when you go out to actually purchase your luggage, that you make sure that your carry on bag is no larger than what you are allowed, because if it is, once you get to the airport they are not going to allow you to take it on the plane with you.

Carry-On Luggage Size: A Virtual War Is Being Waged Against Oversized And Overweight Carry-On Bags

If you are planning on going on a trip and using air travel as a means of conveyance and also thinking about having carry-on luggage to be taken aboard the aircraft, it is wise to consider a few helpful tips that will enable you to get around the carry-on luggage size restrictions being imposed by airlines. It is better to think small as most airlines allow a maximum carry-on luggage size of forty-five linear inches which, in simple terms, refers to the total of height, width as well as depth of the bag. Since no oversize packages are permitted onboard aircraft, you need to check in anything that exceeds the permissible size constraints.

Think Small And Think Smart

It is also advisable to think smart and plan on checking more of your baggage and have less carry-on luggage pieces. In this regard, you need to check with the airline and ascertain its carry-on guidelines so that the carry-on luggage size limits are complied with. Some airlines will also, under certain circumstances, require most or almost all of the bags to be checked, and you need to be prepared for such eventualities.

Of late, it seems that most airlines have declared war on passengers who insist on carting their entire luggage with them on board the aircraft. With more passengers traveling these days, airlines have to contend with carry-on overloads, and this has led airlines such as United Airlines into launching a nationwide "Know Your Limit" campaign that targets cutting down on the number as well as size of carry-on items.

Such carry-on luggage size restrictions have even led luggage makers into joining forces with airlines and designing smaller carry-on bags to comply with new standards. Other manufacturers are taking the route of printing thousands of marketing tags to inform shoppers which bags meet the tighter carry-on luggage size restrictions and which do not.

Leading luggage manufacturer Samsonite has upgraded as well as is promoting its renowned hard-sided suitcases to be the luggage that won't get crushed easily inside the hold of the aircraft. All the more reason that, with crowded flights and stricter rules for carry-on luggage size, it may be wiser to buy such luggage items to obviate the necessity of being forced to check in carry-on bags that do not fit with size and weight limits.

In the continuing battle to keep passengers from exceeding carry-on luggage size restrictions it is normal to see signs such as "Reasonable Carry-On", "Put Your Luggage to the Size-Wise Test" and "Am I Too Big?" giving passengers advance warning to stay within limits.

How To Choose Travel Luggage

When you're going out of town, either for business or pleasure, and you have no idea how to stuff your clothes into your backpack, you are probably thinking of buying a new travel luggage. Unfortunately, many people find it overwhelming to choose from the hundreds of luggage available in stores.

Choosing a travel luggage depends largely on your personal packing style and the type of travel you make. For this reason, make sure you look for bags that would offer you both carrying comfort and packing convenience. Make sure to find a bag that is small enough to carry thru planes comfortably.

In choosing bags, don't rely on design and style, instead make sure your bag will accommodate all the items you would need for the activities you will make when traveling. Remember that you'll be using this travel luggage for other trips, so make sure to consider versatility and functionality.

Understanding Your Travel Luggage Choices

There are three types of travel luggage - backpacks, wheeled luggage and duffel bags. When you prefer to travel by carrying all your gear, backpacks are perfect for you because they are made from highly durable materials to withstand constant moving and heavy weight.

Wheeled travel luggage has two types - traditional and convertible. Businesspersons who travel occasionally use traditional luggages. On the other hand, convertible luggages are usually built without hip belts that make it unsuitable for extensive backpacking because it could give its entire weight to your back.

Your last choice for travel luggage is duffel bags. When you wish to buy duffels, determine your travel needs before choose the type of bag you need. For instance, if you always travel light due to short trips, general-purpose duffels are ideal for you. On the other hand, if you need to pack a lot of items without carrying the bag by hand, you can choose expedition duffels to make your journey comfortable.

Once you have determined the type of bag you need, you have to decide on the size of the bag. This is important because you have to find a travel luggage that is big enough to carry your items, but small enough that you could carry it yourself, even if you need to travel everyday.

If you have chosen the size and type of luggage to buy, you can now compare available features, such as compartments, pockets, straps, removable storage and expandable bags, to ensure you can maximize the functionality of your travel luggage. With these three important reminders, you are one-step ahead in choosing the perfect luggage for any occasion.
